Historical Upscale Working Cattle, Horse and Riding Guest Ranch.

Built in 1927, The Trapper Creek Lodge is one of the finest and most elegant log buildings that can be found in the greater Shell, Wyoming area. The history of Trapper Creek Lodge can be dated back to 1882, when the first settlers arrived in the Big Horn Basin. During the roaring 20s, the 16-1 Stock Ranch (as it was called back then) was owned by The Wyman’s and welcomed affluent guests and “dudes” from the Eastern states, including Ernest Hemingway, Owen Wister and Theodore Roosevelt.
